@Nigel, red blinking is the annunciation that you are above 160knots (about Vne) for line 7. In this case, gear is up. When gear is down and above 80knots, line 3 becomes relevant and the annunciation is green blinking. So basically when something is wrong with speed/gear, you get a blinking led.
