Europa-List: Electric Flaps base attachment moves up and down under load

Hi,
Ive noticed my ply insert for my electric flaps moves up and down. I want the
flaps
to be obviously rigidly held up, against the mechanical stop in the electric
motor, but also for them to be not vibrating too much when fully extended.
The floor is pulled up by the actuator being fully retracted, when the flaps
are extended, so an aerodynamic load through the flaps will harmonic vibrate the
skin basically upward. Im wondering if there would be any benefit in making
the floor rigid in this spot, by creating a reinforcement sandwich strap.
Ideas kindly accepted. Id much prefer to do it now as I can actually do it with
the top off in my good jig (yes, ex you Kingsley). Im even tempted to put in
the main gear legs for the tri, because I have such good access at the moment,
but Im going taildragger already. The mod I am using was offered up years ago
by Bob Berube, of Florida, and it looks like it should go really well, with
similar
geometry to the original mono wheel. Some have said it might suit a different
main gear position, and it does make me wonder if I should set up the ply
inserts in the back seat footwells, as I call them. Anyone got an estimate
of how long it would take to put in the inserts and what theyd weigh to carry
round?
Lastly, is there a 3D laser styled device you can wander around the inside of
the
footwells that will create a 3 D image of them, in relation to each other,
such that you could then create a very tight ply insert if you could mill it out
with something. It just frustrates me the number of times Id like some sort
of 3D pattern maker. If something like this exists, what are they called and
does anyone know whether you could do such a thing? I know its probably bigger
than Ben-Hur but one day it wont be.
