Phil,
The original drive pin was welded to a thin steel plate. One of these pins
became detatched due to fracture of the plate. The failure was attributed
to the plate repeatedly bending, resulting in a fatigue failure. The
replacement plate (Mod 58) is thicker and does not bend in service.

Subject: Europa-List: Mod 58
Hello All,
My rebuild is now on to the trim tabs......
I understand that Mod 58 was the replacement fitting of the trim tab drive
pins. Does anyone know why? I've looked in the factory newsletters and
can't seem to find the reason for it.
Thanks,
Phil
