My long ranger tank is out on loan.  When (if) it is ever returned, I'll check
out the dimensions and let you know what they are.

Again the problem is the cap which fits badly to the tank opening. It is
almost like screwing an AN6 nut to an AN5 bolt.  Comments and suggestions 
welcome.
