I've spent a lot of time in the back since EFIS CPU was mounted there and to do
Mod 70.  What I found was that a cardboard box in the baggage bay the same 
height
as the bottom of the D opening supported my stomach comfortably and kept
the sharp edge of the opening from cutting. My legs ended up between the 
headrests.
