I used the "brilliant" idea put foreword in the instruction to stretch 
the springs. Getting the "banana curve" out of them by a small bit of 
hammering on the bolts.  The springs just dropped in place, one handed.  
easy.

  For those of you about to undertake Mod 71, I just finished mine 
today. The

  to let you know it will take more than one person to install the Mod. 
I had
  2 friends helping out and it still
  took a coupled of hours and a lot of hard work. The springs go onto 
the top
  easy enough but the sterch to the bottom
  is a real bugger. Have a long crow bar or some way of streching the 
spring
  down onto the lower attachment ready when you
  begin the job.
