Good idea. Converts the compressional load that would otherwise be in the
spine to a compressional load in the U-shaped support. The base-fixing of
the support would obviously need to be strong enough to prevent it being
punched into the top of the seat back and have some thing to lock it into
place so that it did not rotate out of its optimum orientation. Or maybe fix
the top of the U to the belt itself; it could then rotate back, but not
forwards.
