Mike;

When I turn on the master switch, both the amber and red lights come on, after
a "self test" both lights then go out. The unit is ready for flight. This is the
only function I do on the
ground preflight.

If while in the takeoff phase of the flight, the red light comes on, it means
that
one of two things have occurred. If you have exceeded the 5 minute restriction
at full boost, when you
reduce power the light should go out. The second thing while in cruise flight,
if the light comes on and the engine is not at full boost there may be a
malfunction.
Pull the switch/CB for a
couple seconds then push the switch/CB back in, the unit will self test and
reset
if there was a malfunction. If the light will not go out, then you have a
problem
and you must control the
boost with the throttle until you can land.

there any reset action required.
