That sounds like a more useful tool than the Smart level. The Smart'l used 
to have a memory for other angles too but not any more, so you have to do 
sums. Good exercise but tedious and open to mistakes.
I once checked my bubble level against a Smart and found I could judge 
level to within .1 degree with it. Being able to zero the instrument on the 
top of an aileron in neutral, ie minus 10 degrees or whatever, was most 
useful.
