Considered poor maintenance practice here on aircraft wheels. She
will be spinning up to the equivalent of going about 125MPH on your
car. So...integrity of repair, wheel balance, and consequences of
blowout are the issues.

Mfg. volume and gubment approval. A friend with an early-30's era
biplane just paid $180 USD for a really tiny tailwheel tube.
Similarly the 5" tube for the mains is also an FAA-approved item. The
smaller nose tire is a necessarily garden-variety whatever, but
hopefully of sufficient quality!
