There is no rollover protection from the standard window - or the bubble
window. That window shape is actually slightly more strong than the flat
window - due to its shape.
The window provides better visibility -- zero additional solar heating -
that is a function of the opening for the window. It also provides additional
head room and reduces the possibility of bashing one's head against the
window in turbulence. The drag increase is minimal, as that is a function of
increased wetted area, which is negligible (assuming no flow separation).
