A word of warning to all builders who are considering fitting the Rotax 914 - "good choice, well presented, join the club". However, if you complete your instrument panel before you take delivery of your engine, be careful on what equipment you fit in the panel above the central tunnel. The turbocharge control unit and the wastegate servo both fit behind the panel in the area above the tunnel. I had to reposition and rewire my altitude encoder. Regards, Mike Parkin. |
