Flew another triangular test course today. Similar conditions to those of
the other day.
North wind at altitude slightly stronger (from 12mph to 17mph)
QNH down 9 mb to 1029.
Temp down 3 degrees centigrade to 3C.
All other parameters as before.
RPM TAS(mph) Wind dir,mph
5300 148 298 19
5500 154 300 16
(actual RPM around 20 higher)
These figures are nearly identical to those of 18/12/01 and 14/12/01 (-1mph,
5300).
Pretty staggered that they are so similar really....must be doing something
right !
I'm now much more confident that they are correct. My improvement appears to
be i.r.o. 5mph.
