Flap Pins

Subject: Flap Pins

Help again. I'm wanting to drill and tap my flap pins and I question
the instructions. On p. 26-1 is the picture with dimensions. The text
says to very carefully mark the center of the hole as per the picture
and make sure both flaps are marked in the same position. That I
understand. The picture shows the hole center to be at the intersection
of a line perpendicular to the bottom surface of the flap and 6.375"
back from the leading edge, and the other line is down 1" from a line
tangent to the upper surface but it is not clear at what point the
tangent is. Therein is my question. It looks close but not exactly to
the point the 'perpendicular to the bottom' line hits the top surface.
Maybe this isn't that critical and maybe it is. Those of you who have
sorted this out can you tell me what criteria you used.

Thanks to Terry, Erich, Tony and Andy for help on my brake parts
question.
