It is good practice to run the cables to the magnetos separately from other
wiring, and preferably with as few connector breaks as possible.

This can be done by mounting the magnetos switches on a separate sub-panel
that remains in place when the main panel is removed. There is then no need
to have a quick disconnect, and the magnetos can remain off with the panel
out.
