Hi all you radio experts out there.
I have a particularly annoying problem with my Becker radio and Bob
Archer antenna.
You may have a bump in the VSWR at that particular frequency. If the cable
run isn't straight before it hits the antenna you can get some interesting
spikes in the SWR and one may just coincide with that station.
Aerials designed to cover a range of frequencies are always a compromise. If
you are only ever using one freqency you can optimise the length for that
one - as I did for my ELT aerial!
