Hi Terry (and David), 

Your pitot assembly is missing a black plastic plug that has been inserted
into the lower (as installed) tube.  I'll try to describe it:  it is about
an inch long, same diameter as the tubing, has a hole drilled completely
through both walls of the sides.  Mine is a friction fit so yours may have
dropped out of the assembly.
