New low pressure differential transducers (1p.s.i.) are available from RS
components
and I
have already experimented with one which has produced promising results - albeit
with a
relatively small output voltage change which would need an op amp to drive a
meter.
Roger
at Europa is now pursuing this idea with a view to turning the concept into a
production
model. It would certainly provide a neat and accurate solution However a number
of issues
need resolving around the area of safety and material compatability with fuel -
RS
components were not prepared to guarantee resistance to petrol vapour. Roger was
hopeful though!
