I am in the process of assembling an idler plate mounted on the top of the
original tailwheel shaft and connected by springs to the tailwheel arm rather
than installing the new tailwheel - I mentioned this in an earlier note.
Experimental aviation with a capitol E, I guess.
My goal is to retain the original assembly intact and be able to exchange
the experimental assembly in and out. This would avoid disabling the aircraft
if revisions are required. Since eyebolts will be welded into the holes in
the tailwheel arm, I need a second tailwheel arm to use in the experimental
unit.
So, would someone who is fitting the new tailwheel like to sell the arm from
the original tailwheel assembly? Prefer someone in the US to minimize
mailing costs & time. I am ready to put the top on but am holding up until
the experimental assembly can be completed.
