I've had the wondrous experience of a P-O-W of a 30 amp fuse in auto
panel. Gets your attention, it does!

Now use Heinneman (sp?) resettable breakers. They pop out, I push back
in. If it doesn't stay in I refrain from trying to reset til problem is
figured out and solved.
