I can vouch for the difficulty of removing water from withing the wings -
mine were virtually drowned by dripping from coiled hose on the garage
wall onto the spar and running into the aileron push rod hole. A lot just
poured out when the wing tip was pointed skywards (without the aeroplane
attached) but it took
a lot of effort and gyrations before it stopped appearing.
