Likewise have a look at the sensor that was fitted to BMW upper end 3
series and the the 5s and 6s. Yuppie wheels, now appearing in a scrap
yard near you. It's very easy to interface being just three wires +12V,
OV and a connection to the collector of the photodiode. The signal needs
a bit of conditioning and can be used to drive a simple meter via an
LM2907 chip or conditioned to logic levels and fed to something more
sophisticated. NB the new Skyforce mappers will have fuel flow software
add ons in the near future using a spare I/O line.
