The Europa 914 installation manual specified installing the TCU inside the
cockpit on the aft side of the firewall. It is therefore necessary to
pass all of its cables through the firewall to the engine. It would seem
to require at least a one inch hole in the firewall.
Does anyone know a good method of passing these cables through the firewall
while maintaining a good firewall seal? I have noticed that both (old)
Europa demonstrators at Lakeland got around this problem by mounting the
TCU in the engine compartment.
