I have had my prop (CS pv50) balanced several times at Cambridge and am 
pretty unimpressed.  I think this has to do with technique and operator 
knowledge

as well as the need for either nil wind or the ability to start the engine in 
the hanger. 
Incidentally the biggest difference I have seen is balancing the spinner with 
the water bowl method. I'd certainly hire a balancer.
