>Does any one know where I can get the prop/spinner dynamically balanced?
The only source we know appears to charge around 350 for the service.
Based at Kemble but can travel.<
Arrow Aviation (near Exeter) did mine for about 170. Although this is not
cheap it is far cheaper than the other (Midlands based) company who wanted
about 295. If you fly down to Exeter they can meet you at an engineering
base on the north side who can get you a reduction on the landing fee. They
can be contacted on 01884 855327. Mentioning the Europa Club should ensure
you get a discount.
It might be worth the club purchasing the equipment if the cost is no more
than 1500. We would need to look into the expertise required in using the
equipment and ensure we have the necessary fittings for mounting the sensors
for the range of engines used. As the capital cost is significant a rental
charge would need to be made so that most of the investment was recovered.
This subject has come up once before at club committee meetings. If there is
enough interest I will bring it up again at the next meeting.
