It will probably be easier to do the width mod to the doors as it's a fibre
glass piece that Europa supply. It's much less work than changing the glass
and much cheaper. The width mod door inserts are less than =A3100....the g
lass will be ridiculous!!

Subject: Europa-List: replacement glass

Hello All
This spring I managed to break the glass in the passenger side door of my c
lassic mono, a long story. I got it repaired and although this is reasonabl
e the crack is still clearly visible and I would like to get rid of it alto
gether.
I managed to purchase a couple of used XS doors which of course are tinted
but I think looked a lot better.
However my mono has had the cockpit width mod done and while fitting the ne
w doors what I thought might be an easy fit has now turned into quite a dif
ficult amount of work.
I am thinking now that it might be easier just to replace the glass in the
original door?
So to the question, does anyone have just the original classic clear glass
for the passenger side or can direct me to where I might get one?
I am not averse to replacing both sides with XS tinted if clear glass is no
w unobtainable, but it would come down to cost.
I have been told that they are only now made new in the States and that the
re is a massive lead time in obtaining them, is this true?
I should say that although I have previously built an aircraft, I did not b
uild my Europa.
Thanks
Mike
