I have read with interest the discussion on the routing of the choke and
throttle
cables. They were quite long when I installed them some time ago now and I
didn't understand why the routing was so convoluted. After a lot of thought I
cut my cables and installed them in almost a direct line from the throttle box,
up through the tunnel, through the fire wall made a small change in direction
and attached them to the carburetor. The choke cables almost the same. From
a recessed bracket in the instrument panel up through the fire wall a small
change in direction and onto the carburetors. There is almost no friction as
there is very little change in direction of the cables. I have used fire
retardant
sealing for the cables as they go through the fire wall. Have I missed
something here, or is there some good reason why you put almost 360 degrees
change
of direction in the cables?
