Graeme, You should not have to trim the M5 bolt. TS03 bellcrank is supported by AN4-15A bolt with two FL14 spacers. The friction assembly attaches to the bellcrank in the hole aft of the bellcrank bearing. Fig 2 page 19-2 shows how the friction assembly is made. The M5 bolt is secured by M5 nyloc and check nuts.
