It should work right out of the box if it is supplied with the correct fitti
ngs. Make sure you specify hose barbs or flare fittings or whatever you us
e on your fuel lines.
Yes, you should keep one electric pump. Also allows you to have an extra e
lectric pump stashed away, just in case the one in the aircraft packs in. T
hose pumps are pricey.
