The fitting instructions packed with the scoops (made by Ayton & Co & supplied
through Aircraft Spruce) show how to fit the scoops on the inside face of the
aircraft skin, but as the flange is only about 2mm recessed from the outer
surface of the scoops I think it will be necessary to cut back the inner skin
to allow them to sit flush with the outer skin. All input on this topic
