Regarding Sun 'n Fun 2016
To avoid confusion, some new comers may be confused about the Europa
display.
Custom Flight Creations , my company, is the sponsor, so all the banners,
and directories will say Custom Flight Creations on your program, but to be
sure, you will see our Europas displayed on site N-55.
We are right on the flight line, which is just North of "C" hanger. We will
have a tent and I'm still not sure which plane or planes we will display.

Anita and I, and of course Steve Pitt, Jim Butcher and our Euorpa Club
family, are looking forward to seeing you all in April.

Be sure to get your fly-in/tent camping or RV camping reservations in, as we
are expecting a great show this year. It seems folks are tired of winter.
The Sun 'n Fun staff has a very informative web site. They changed it quite
a bit this year and it has volumes of information.
Consider being a week long fly-in volunteer. My EAA chapter makes
sandwiches for the volunteers from about 0900-1200, then the rest of the day
is yours. Afternoon shifts are available also.
Other volunteer positions are available so check the SnF website. If you
volunteer for the prescribed hours, your passes are paid for, and obviously,
lunch is free. Full access to all events is really convenient for the
volunteers.

For the non camping visitors, off site accommodations are many.
Next week the Hotel and Accommodations Guide should be out. (Typically out
the first week in February.)
A rental car is a must if you stay in the hotels outside of Lakeland FL.
Bus service to the Sun 'n Fun campus from surrounding airports is not as
good as I would like, but some are available from down town and selected
hotels.
Of course, expect to pay more when staying near the SnF campus.
There are no busses from the Tampa, Orlando or other International Airports.
A rental car is necessary.

If the weather looks iffy, or your plane is not ready to make the trip,
drive down and make it a vacation.

Spend a day, spend a week. Its time to get your motor running again.

Marcel,

The Wednesday night air show is very good. Often there is a dinner with
Europa owners and builders at Hooters Restaurant on Thursday evening.

The SNF website has some hotel information on it and there are lots of
hotels in the area. I stayed in a hotel in Orlando 15 years ago and the
drive to SNF was easy. Look at the driving directions on the SNF website to
see what would be an easy route to parking. I think parking is on the south
side of the field, so a hotel to the south may be easier drive to.

Hope to meet you this year.

Jim & Heather
