Will,

It can use any size safety wire. Heavier might be less likely to cut
into the hose.

The instructions are out in the hanger. Next trip to hanger I=92ll
bring them home to scan and provide to list.

The video on the ACS website says any kind of wire will do. Watch the
video it is excellent.

http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topages/clamptitetoolbronze.php is
the tool I have in my kit. I bought it at KOSH 10 years ago.

William,

I believe Graham was talking about this:

I have one and it works surprisingly well where you have enough room to
maneuver the tool.

The resulting clamp looks like this=94

This is a double wrap. It can also be done as a single wrap.

Aircraft Spruce sell a very good tool for sealing hoses with locking
wire. Much better than the Jubilee clips which are very hit and miss.
Don't use sealant, too risky.

I am installing the fuel lines.

Has anyone used any kind of sealant on hose joints?

I am wondering whether the worm drive clips really seal the fuel lines
