oh, forgot to mention, the treatment must be done *after* all cutouts are
complete, as *any* open fresh cut edge will allow the fuel to soak into the
LDPE regardless of the surface treatment. This was made very clear to me by
Fluoro-Seal Int..  This could be one reason why the factory's process is
not very effective - besides the lower-level of fluorination which was used
- at least for my tank circa 2001.

as for the effectiveness - I cannot say, as I still have a pile of parts :-(
