Steve,
I also made it to Friedrichshafen via RyanAir but due to a migrain l was out of
action Thursday evening and hence did not make the (2+ hr return drive to
Biberach).

The weather on Thursday in the Uk (l am based close to Stansted) was 400' to
approx
2500' layers of cloud up to about 6500. Anybody who flew out in a Europa
in that is very brave!!. The conditions did not appear to chnge much until Metz
where there were breaks in the cloud. In the Friedrichshafen region on Thursday
it was great. Friday was less good with showers and some CB activity. Today
it looked flyable but with increased CB and some rough air around 2500-5000.

I made the right decision not to fly my Europa, l congratulate Ivor for making
it, although l have no idea how it was possible under VFR.

The show was a great success, lots of new things to look at, some familiar
faces,
but less display flying going on than the last time l visited. Highlights
for me were the new 912iS, the VL3 which l think will become very popular.
