Troy,
There are are many things but I had the same problem flying back from FL. last
week. What I found was a bad ground or corroded ground going back thru the
firewall.
Fixed it today and she's charging again. It was as you described... no
alternator light just a slow drop in voltage. Check your grounds everywhere.
BTW:
I have an extra regulator if you want to try it.
