there's another way to stop throttle creep.=0AInstead of using the nylon wa
shers I made largel nylon washers that located =0Aagainst the bottom of the
throttle box so that when the throttle is moved the =0Awashers can't rotat
e. =0A=0AAlternatively a long bolt through all the washers would also work.

=0AProblem is the least point of friction is between the AN970 washers and
the =0Anuts, you can tighten up the assembly, and it will still break out,
at variable =0Arates, at that junction.=0AFix :=0AWeld fullnuts to the AN97
0 washers, bond/rivet the plastic washers to the other =0Aface of the washe
rs [ Redux / csk rivets], flat the contact surface of the =0Aplastic dull,
with 180 grit paper.=0AAssemble as Manual, but replace the spacer with wash
ers to shim the lever in the =0Amiddle of the slot, do the inboard nut/wash
er up very tight.Thread on lever, =0A[you might have to thread it on before
you run the first nut up, depending on =0Athrottle box width].=0ADo the ou
tboard nut/washer/plastic washer up tight to required friction, keep a =0As
panner [ wrench] on that nut as you run a stiffnut up to lock it tight.=0AJ

.com> I =0Awonder if you could assist with a slight problem on my new buil
d. When the =0Athrottle is on tick-over it tends to increase Revs slowly d
ue to vibration. I =0Arealise that the throttle spring at the carburetter
needs to spring open the =0Athrottle in the even of a broken cable, but is
there a way of balancing the =0Afriction so that my throttle does not vibra
te slowly open. I would welcome any =0Aadvise. Regards John =0Aarget=_
