Hi Mike,

I painted my Europa with the Polyfiber/Aerothane system in 2001. 650
flying hours later it is still in good shape. I used the Smooth Prime
water based primer - 3 + 3 coats rolled on as per the book. The
Aerothane topcoat was my first spray job and I used an Axis HVLP gun
http://www.axispro.com/index.php One of these days I might get round to
doing a sanding and buffing job on the paint which would give it that
showroom finish.

Some people seem to have had trouble with the system when they did not
let the primer dry for at least 3 weeks.(see details at
http://www.polyfiber.com/uvsmooth/) If you do use the Aerothane, I
recommend that you obtain the Polyfiber "Flight Gloss" manual -
http://www.aircraftcoverings.co.uk/ias.asp This has a lot of good tips.

Cheers, John
