Not sure what this discussion is all about. According to my installation manual
the return line is plumbed into the starboard side, which is also the reserve.
Don't see much wrong with that.

Good thought and something that needs to be kept in mind, but if one were to 
use up their main side, go onto reserve, wouldn't the fuel pump empty the 
reserve quicker because a large portion of the fuel being pumped is being 
returned

back to the main side and you would have to switch back to the main side in 
order to get all the reserve you thought you had. 

This begs the question....at economy cruise, how much flying time does the 
reserve side give you. And then what percentage of that reserve would be pumped

out to the main side via the return line?
