Paul,
Concerning the fuel smell. Convinced it was the fuel pipes given to us years
ago by Europa, I took all mine out and sure enough they smelt badly. The
walls are too thin . I have replaced them with Automotive Service Hose, Fuel
Line Hose, which have excellent resistance to oil, gasoline, grease and
weather. All synthetic rubber construction reinforced with a single ply of
braided cord within. Hypalon cover, Nitrile tube for use with leaded and
unleaded gasoline. Meets SAE J30c, Type 30R7 requirements. I replaced all
hose clips with the fuel injector type. The fuel line is 5/16 or 7.9mm, I.D
with a much thicker wall. Made in USA KX UPC 3824416850. $5NZ/meter here
with hose clips 60cents NZ each. Replaced the whole system for $40NZ about
$25US!
So far so good.
Hope it lasts well.
Cheers,
Tim
