Yeah - I use a GlobalSat BT308 GPS with the AnywhereMap s/w on my iPAQ
(other brands are available).
Works fine & GPS stays locked-on well. BT connection to the iPAQ is stable
(once kick-started - a 2 minute exercise, but that's a Micro$oft fault with
the BT drivers, apparently).

I bought mine (new) on eBay for much less than RRP & it works fine with my
iPAQ 5550 - battery lasts ~7 hrs, better than the iPAQ!!
One thing I particularly liked was the interchangeable plug-pins on the
charger (just slot in country-specific pins on to the transformer) which
also works with the iPAQ; so only one charger to take on long trips away
(don't forget the iPAQ power adaptor if you have a model newer than 37xx
tho' -- been there, done that!!)

Does anyone have any experience of Bluetooth GPS units? I was considering
using my iPAQ as a moving map and thought that a Bluetooth remote GPS unit
would reduce the amount of wiring cluttering the cockpit and I could also
