For those of you who have joined the list within the last year and a half
or so I figured I will bring this up again for the new guys since I just
had to deal with it. The NACA ducts supplied by Europa aren't worth the
price of the plastic baggie they come packaged in. Do not install them as
you recieve them! Here's the routine: Perform operational check of the
opening/closing widgit knob once or twice, good, now its broken so you
don't have to worry about it any more. If not push on something so a seam
or joint detaches. Now you don't have to worry about it happening after you
spent the time to bond it in.

Recovery:

Pull the stud off of the moveable door and bond it back in, in the open
position. Make some nice white dry micro fillets along the 2 sides down
the throat for good airflow. Get a block blue foam, a saw, and a sanding
block and a small piece of 1/8" ply and make a form to fab a housing to
attach one of those eyeball vent gaspers to direct and close off your fresh
air.

I believe that's that's the SOP if I left anything out the older timers can
comment as necessary.
