Hi Steve, The crazy angle of the straight edge is how it looks in real life
due to the curve of the doors. I did mine per the manual and they came out
good. I'm not sure what you mean by too high on the door frame tang. In
order to get the top surface of the tangs flush with the top of the fuse I
had to make shims (spacers) out of alum. sheet to fit under the hinge, in
the space where fig. 4 points to 5 min. epoxy. Neville said something about
the door hinge rebates being deeper now. These doors have taken me a whole
lot of time, but have gone well following the manual.

Oh by the way, I got some SS hinge material. I have lots of extra if anyone
wants some.

I just bonded the windows in. Now starting the door strut reverse mod.

Kevin

OK.. I've measured the hinge placement on the door tangs about a hundred
times how and they are per the manual. When I put the doors on and open them
they're about 1/2 inch too high on the door frame tang. What has everyone
else
done? Just move the hinges down? Is that structurally sound? So far I've
found
chapters 33 and 34 woefully lacking. What's up with the crazy angle the
straight
edge is on in fig 3 page 34-3?
