Leather Control Column Boots;
Orders for Leather Control Column Boots are again available.
There has been a small redesign of the boot due to an incident here in
New Zealand where foreign matter did
find its way under the control column universal.
Essentially the boot is the same as has previously been ordered except
it now attaches to the floor of the
cockpit around the universal to completely enclose it.
The bottom of the boot is cut to shape around the universal and velcro
is used to attach it to the floor.
An alternative way is to build a 30 mm 'fence' out of 3 x BID cloth
around the universal from the CS04 tufnol plate and velcro the boot to
this 'fence'.
