During my period in the wilderness I have added a water temperature
sensor to my 914. Skydrive make a very nice kit with adds a T fitting
into one of the water lines which as a 10 x1.5mm thread to take a
temperature sensor. They normally sell a full kit complete with gauge
but will also supply the T fitting for those (like me) who want to go it
alone. It was very easy to add to the engine and I now have the comfort
of knowing what the real water temperature is without the thermal lag
present in the CHT sensors. I am sure that Graham Singleton will approve
of the mod!
