Martin,

I have completed it few moms ago.
The task for just easy and took about 2 hours.

I have to tell - my tank was not in place yet.

Think it can be done but not easy when installed.
You will need really some patience as in manual 
they say when doing through headrest.

I test wired it at once and it works well.
There are really 8 nice steps in gauge.
