Hi! Again Roland.
These guy's with cheap to run Europas must be in Sweden with 100LL about
1/3rd of our price and a system of 23 per week of as many landings and of
course the seven overnight stays. Problem is you need ski's or floats fitted
for emergency landings or some good climbing gear to get down from the tree
tops!!!
Seriously though, those that would enjoy flights put up their hands waving a
few notes because the 1500 insurance accounted for 10 per hour of G-PTAGs
first 150 hours plus 5.5 gallons per hour at about 84 pence a litre totals
31 per hour in my calculator plus the "capital write down" making your
eye's begin to water !!!!My next door neighbour ,bless him ,paid for all the
fuel to Shoreham and back recently , he is welcome any time.( my own Brother
gave me a tenner but he did put a bit of time into the build !!!)No NEED
FOR ANYONE TO BE SHY ?????
Regards
Bob Harrison G-PTAG

>On the question of promotional flights Roland you are welcome any time

Thanks for the thought but my plea was on behalf of others, perhaps
too shy to ask on their own account. I have had a number of trips in
different Europas and that does keep the enthusiasm up for getting
back into the workshop!

> Obviously
>a helping hand with fuel costs oils the weels

I didn't want to make any suggestion of "hire or reward" - but of
course sharing of costs is legal and pretty much part of life when
using Club aeroplanes. Most Europa owners have refused my offer of a
contribution on the grounds that it's so cheap to run anyway!

regards

Rowland
