Just a point of interest about UV damage. For the last 2 years I've had a chunk
of blue foam standing on my N.E. facing garage window sill. The side facing the
light now has a surface which is very brittle and crumbly to a depth of about
1/8" - and I thought glass didn't transmit UV all that well!
