A word of caution here:
Mounting the classic wing spars a few years ago we found that one
of the bushing holes in in the cockpit module was drilled wrong.
This was easy to see as the holes in the spars did not line up with
those in the cockpit module. It was off by about 2 mm. Calling
EUROPA they admitted that this could well be possible. So, we
filed the "off-centre" hole in the cockpit module to match the bush
holes in the wing spar and filled the gap with flox. Make sure you
stay on the same horizontal level, though...
How did we found out which hole was wrong? By taking
comparative measements of both holes relative to the cockpit
module. How is such misalignment possible? I simply don'y know
as I assume EUROPA uses a template.
We lived through it...
I would call them in any case to get their approval.

I would like to ask a favor of all those who care to respond. Next time you
have your wings off (for those who are flying) or next time you are in the
workshop (for those who aren't), please measure precisely the distance
between spar pin bush holes (center-to-center) on the wing spars. Perhaps
I'm the only one interested in this, but I would like to know what the
manufactured variability is in this dimension (I'm currently building a
europa motor glider, without having the wings in my possesion, and am
wondering if the tolerance on conventional wings will fit the dimension of
the pre-drilled holes on my cockpit module without modifying either the CM
or the wing spars.) Thanks for your help.
