Likely more metal than will be easy to do crawling around back there,
after painting, with a portable drill. Rather than a roll pin, I
added a short piece of tubing that fits over the mass balance arm,
drilled thru both, and secured with an 8-32 or AN-3 bolt and
self-locking nut. This way, the weight removes easily, so one can
take it to a drill press to drill out the steel.
