Why hide it in an inaccessible position ? Mine is mounted of four floor pads
in Front of the pilot's thigh support which is untouched. The servo arm
attaches to a bracket bolted Round the right side of the stick fork , so no
worries about weakening it. A curved Al cover between the top edge of the
seat base and the floor, protects it all from the incoming right foot, and
removing this cover leaves it all visible and accessible for inspection,
adjustment and maintenance. Been like this for 100 flying hrs. with no
problems. Yes it's normal for it to oscillate a bit when no wings are
coupled.
